  • In a public interview on stage at Duke University Wednesday, former White House chief of staff John Kelly, who left the administration in January, tore into Trump’s immigration platform, calling the wall a “waste of money” and breaking with the president’s characterization of immigrants from Mexico and Central America as violent and dangerous to Americans.

“They’re overwhelmingly not criminals,” Kelly said. “They’re people coming up here for economic purposes. I don’t blame them for that.”

“We don’t need a wall from sea to shining sea,” the retired general added.

General Kelly said his year and a half as chief of staff of the Trump White House was “the least enjoyable job” he’s ever had.

  • Imagine if you're a Trump aid or supporter and the Gestapo Mueller gang held you for questioning and you forgot some trivial info during the interrogation, and your witch-hunters looked into things you did over the past 10 or 30 years. Then you're indicted for "process crimes" or anything you did long before you met Trump. What are you gonna do? Would you turn against Trump since his DOJ did nothing to protect you or to even look into the shenanigans of Mueller and his fellow gangsters?

  • Yes Manafort gets 47mos. and Hillary that did far worst than Manafort gets a free pass and no jail time. Crooked Gov.

  • Crime pays! Millions of dollars, wealthy properties, $15,000 ostrich jacket are owed to the tax payers he stole money from and not sorry about. He enjoyed a lavish lifestyle which helps to live a life otherwise blameless (i.e. not caught,) as Judge Ellis said, as the judge significantly deviated from the sentencing guidelines. Corrupt Judge ????

  • Gee…..tax fraud?…..all you republican business owners better ditch those illegal immigrants employees and start filing your taxes……he he he

  • An other former of trump I like trump but I dont like that he had relations with all this crooked guys

  • Judge Ellis is crooked, on the take and/or allowing his personal political views to influence his judgment. This sentencing reflects a complete disrespect for the law and an abuse in his discretionary authority; as it does nothing to deter the types of crimes Manafort committed. Ellis should be investigated and removed from the bench as this sentencing. decision begs to question all the decisions he has rendered.

  • SOOOOOOOOOO..,……..let me get this straight. This corrupted man, who
has been breaking the law every since he popped out of his mother's hole
and this "Judge" gave him less than four years saying out of his hole,
that Manafort "Lived a blameless life?" Meanwhile, you have another meme
titled "Picking up trash while black" because a cop pulled a gun on a
black man for picking up garbage ON HIS OWN PROPERTY?" I really don't
know what to say other than, it must be nice to be born with white
    privilege. SMMFH

  • This guy is "done" so the 47 months is plenty considering he lost three homes and is stuck with a huge restitution which the Government will collect. He is a broken man and he has suffered enough and hope the Judge next week gives him a concurrent sentence of 36 months. The DOJ is out of control asking for 19 years. Wow, what happened to compassion.

  • MANAFORD WILL DO ONLY A HALF OF HIS SENTENCE AND WILL BE RELEASED IN LESS THAT 2 YEARS! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha…………………….

Members of Republican administrations are convicted of crimes 63 times more frequently than Democrat administrations. https://goo.gl/oEMV8b

Republican record – 120 indictments, 89 convictions, and 34 prison sentences. "When comparing criminal indictments of those serving in the executive branch of presidential administrations, it is so lopsided as to be ridiculous. Yet all I ever hear about is how supposedly “corrupt” the Democrats are. So why don’t we break it down by president and the numbers? … In the last 53 years, Democrats have been in the Oval Office for 25 of those years, while Republicans held it for 28. In their 25 yrs in office Democrats had a total of three executive branch officials indicted with one conviction and one prison sentence. That’s one whole executive branch official convicted of a crime in two and a half decades of Democratic leadership. In the 28 yrs that Republicans have held office over the last 53 yrs they have had a total of (a drum roll would be more than appropriate), 120 criminal indictments of executive branch officials. 89 criminal convictions and 34 prison sentences handed down. That’s more prison sentences than years in office since 1968 for Republicans. If you want to count articles of impeachment as indictments (they aren’t really but we can count them as an action), both sides get one more. However, Clinton wasn’t found guilty while Nixon resigned and was pardoned by Ford (and a pardon carries with it a legal admission of guilt on the part of the pardoned). So those only serve to make Republicans look even worse. … 120 indictments for Republicans. 89 convictions, and 34 prison sentences. Those aren’t “feelings” or “alternate facts.” Those are simply the stats by the numbers. Republicans are, and have been for my entire lifetime, the most criminally corrupt party to hold the office of the presidency."

  • Can anyone explain how manafort is labeled a TRUMP insider when he worked for only 5 weeks?
Why doesn't the MSM report he was actually an Obama agent seeking to overthrow the Ukraine president from 2013-2015 in echange for $millions of fees?
He didn't have to register as a foreign agent and dodged $millions of us taxes because he was green lighted by the state department.
Where is the investigation of the podesta brothers who were working for years on behalf of obama/clinton for doing the same thing?
Any bets on how long he survives in prison before being silenced forever?

  • So its ok to comit crimes against the US that are on the edge of treason and get by with 48 months in jail.
You can get up to 5 years for tearing the tag off a mattress. Crime during the frump/putin administration does pay.

  • Poor guy got such a long sentence in jail for a white collar crime !!!!! It's a travesty of justice !!!!!!
